趣味で写真撮影を始めると、自分の作品にオリジナルのサインやロゴを入れたくなる人も多いと思う。
そんな時によく利用されるのが「Photologo」だ。名前をもとに手書き風のロゴをデザインしてくれ、PNG形式のファイルとして納品してくれる。料金はデザイン内容にもよるが、だいたい100ドル前後が一般的だ。
実は私も数年前に一度Photologoでロゴを作ってもらったことがある。しかし、いつの間にかそのファイルが見当たらなくなり、再度注文するか悩んでいた。
そこで思い出したのがChatGPTの存在だ。
「もしかしたら作れるかもしれない」と思い、試しにChatGPTとやり取りしながらロゴ作成に挑戦してみた。正直なところ、一発で理想のデザインができたわけではない。20回ほど修正を重ね、その過程では少しストレスを感じる場面もあった。
それでも最終的には、自分なりにかなり満足できるロゴが完成した。100点満点とは言えないが、90点くらいの出来にはなったと思う。
数年前なら専門サービスに依頼するしかなかったことが、今ではAIを活用することで自分でもできるようになってきた。技術の進歩には本当に驚かされる。
一方で、こうしたAIの進化によって、Photologoのようなサービスが今後どうなっていくのかを考えると少し複雑な気持ちにもなる。数年後には、多くのデザインサービスがAIに置き換わっているかもしれない。
便利になったことは間違いないが、その変化のスピードには驚かされるばかりだ。

A few years ago, this was something I would have had to pay a professional service to do. Today, AI tools make it possible for ordinary users to accomplish much of the same work themselves. The pace of technological progress is truly remarkable.
At the same time, it leaves me with mixed feelings. As AI continues to improve, I can’t help but wonder what the future holds for services like Photologo. In a few years, many design-related businesses may find themselves competing directly with AI—or even being replaced by it.
