私がここ数年ずっと気に入って使っている組み合わせが、SONY NW-WM1Z と、Sony IER-Z1R。
どちらもSONYのフラッグシップモデルらしい圧倒的な存在感があり、「音楽を聴く時間そのものを楽しませてくれる」機材だと思う。
まずNW-WM1Zは、手に持った瞬間に分かる重量感と高級感が特徴。
最近のスマホや軽量DAPとは違い、ずっしりとした重みがあり、まるで高級腕時計や万年筆のような所有感がある。
実際に音を聴いてみると、SONYらしい滑らかで艶のあるサウンド。
解像度を前面に押し出すタイプというより、音楽全体を心地良く聴かせてくれる印象が強い。
特にボーカルの厚みや空気感が素晴らしく、長時間聴いていても疲れにくい。
そしてIER-Z1R。
このイヤホンは最初に聴いた瞬間、「これは普通のイヤホンとは違う」と感じた。
低音の量感はかなりあるのに、決してボワつかず、深く沈み込むような重低音が出る。
さらに高音域の伸びも非常に綺麗で、広い音場感も特徴的。
特に映画音楽やライブ音源との相性が良く、まるで小型スピーカーで聴いているようなスケール感がある。
一方で、イヤホン本体はかなり大きめなので、人によっては装着感にクセを感じるかもしれない。
この2つを組み合わせると、SONYらしい濃密で立体感のあるサウンドを存分に楽しめる。
最近はワイヤレスイヤホンが主流になっているが、改めて有線＋専用DAPの音を聴くと、「やっぱり音楽はこうやって聴くと楽しい」と感じさせてくれる。

Then there’s the IER-Z1R.
The moment I first listened to these earphones, I immediately felt they were on another level.
The bass is powerful and deep, yet incredibly controlled without sounding muddy.
At the same time, the treble extends beautifully, creating a spacious and highly immersive soundstage.
They pair especially well with movie soundtracks and live recordings, often giving the impression of listening to compact high-end speakers rather than in-ear monitors.
That said, the earphones themselves are quite large, so comfort may vary depending on the listener.
Together, the NW-WM1Z and IER-Z1R create a dense, three-dimensional sound that feels unmistakably SONY.
Nowadays wireless earbuds dominate the market, but listening to music again through a dedicated wired setup like this reminds me just how enjoyable music can truly be.
